Gus Van Sants remake of the Hitchcock classic about an embezzler who checks into a remote motel run by a psychopath. While remaining faithful to the original the modern setting and slightly more explicit shots than the censor would allow in Hitchcocks day make this a fascinating exercise that compares favourably to the original.
