The Hollow Crown: The Wars of the Roses - Henry VI Part 2. Ben Power and Dominic Cookes adaptation of Shakespeares Henriad continues with the second part of Henry VI. The Wars of the Roses are well under way and following their defeat at the battle of St Albans the Lancastrians are forced to grant concessions to the Yorkists. King Henry negotiates to keep the crown for his lifetime but disinherits his heir Prince Edward much to the horror of his imperious wife Margaret. Determined to see her son on the throne Margaret mounts a brutal assault on Plantagenets family decimating his dynasty but failing to eliminate his three elder sons Edward George and Richard. In response the York boys swear to avenge the murder of their father and younger brother seeking the aid of the duplicitous Duke of Warwick as they pitch England back into bloody civil war.
