A pair of performing musicians accidentally set fire to their place of work and have to flee from the police by boarding a boat bound for Rio. Once on board they meet an intriguing young woman with a tendency for rapid personality changes and soon discover that she is being hypnotised by her wicked aunt in order to marry a man she does not love.
